PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Police say the death toll from a suicide bombing at a funeral in northwest Pakistan has now reached 15.
Police officer Sher Hassan Khan says Thursday’s blast took place at the funeral of a tribal leader who had formed a militia to oppose Islamist militants in the area.
Khan say that 50 people were also wounded.
The attack took place in Lower Dir, a region close to the Afghan border that has seen much violence between militants and security forces.
