ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Outfielder Shin-Soo Choo is back in the Cleveland Indians’ lineup after being activated from the disabled list.

Choo was batting third and playing right field Thursday night in the series finale against Texas.

Choo had been on the 15-day disabled list since Sept. 1 with a strained left oblique. He was hitting .260 with eight homers and 36 RBIs while being limited by injuries to 84 games. That was after he had 22 homers and 90 RBIs last season.

The Indians have been preparing him for the possibility of playing left field. Kosuke Fukudome, who has made 33 of his 44 starts in right since being acquired by Cleveland, got a night off.
