PASCO, Wash. (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting after a Pasco police officer shot an alleged burglary suspect while on patrol.
Pasco Police Capt. Ken Roske (ROSS-key) said the officer was responding to a burglary in progress Wednesday afternoon when he saw three people begin to leave the scene. The officer pursued the suspects on foot.
Roske says the officer fired on one suspect believed to have a gun when the suspect turned around. A gun was later recovered.
The 19-year-old Pasco man was taken to Kadlec Medical Centre in serious condition. The officer was unharmed.
