Letter: City’s reflection marred by trash

The Columbian
Published: September 15, 2011, 5:00pm

My wife and I recently returned to Vancouver from our new hometown in The Villages, Fla. It had been five years since we have seen our old hometown. It didn’t take us long to notice the weeds and garbage on the sides of the roadways and in the medians. I can only surmise that the cost to Clark County must be the reason. But, are there no volunteers or concerned citizens who could help out?

Vancouver was my hometown. Now, it appears to be an embarrassment.
