Letter: Appointment well deserved

Regarding Dan Stahnke’s appointment to the Clark County Superior Court bench, Stahnke and I were hired by the Clark County sheriff’s department about the same time, and we worked closely together for about 15 great years. I got to know him professionally as well as personally. Stahnke was interested in the law aspects of all the court proceedings (superior and district), and during those years I never observed Stahnke to lose his temper at any inmate, no matter how disrespectful the inmate was to him.

He loves a good debate with anyone about any subject. I am proud to have worked with this honorable person for so many years. He will become one of our very best Superior Court judges this county has, and you will not find a more fair, respectful and professional judge.
