OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Mike Hoke threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another score to lead Weber State to a 49-17 win over Sacramento State on Saturday in their Big Sky opener.

Hoke completed 17 of 33 passes for 198 yards, Shaydon Kehano caught two touchdown passes and Tanner Hinds rushed for 104 yards and a score for the Wildcats (1-2, 1-0), who pulled away from the Hornets (1-2, 0-1) with 35 second-half points. Weber State had only 22 yards rushing at half and finished with 324 yards on the ground.

David James picked off a deflected pass in the fourth quarter and took it 75 yards for a touchdown, the second-longest interception return in school history.
