Kennewick boy allegedly robs students at gunpoint

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — A 14-year-old Kennewick boy is accused of robbing four classmates at gunpoint on their way home from middle school

The Tri-City Herald (http://bit.ly/r9Lqpu) reports a security officer at Horse Heaven Hills Middle School heard one of the kids talking about the incident Thursday morning. He questioned the students and called police.

Parents of the four victims were notified, and the gun used in the robbery was recovered by police. Police say the gun belongs to the boy’s father.

The teen has been arrested and booked in the juvenile detention center on suspicion of four counts of robbery.
