PLYMOUTH, England (AP) — Dean Barker has skippered Emirates Team New Zealand to the match racing championship at the second stop of the inaugural America’s Cup World Series.

The Kiwis went 2-0 against Team Korea in the best-of-three finals. Team New Zealand earned its spot in the final with a win Friday against Russell Coutts and Oracle Racing, while Team Korea knocked off Sweden’s Artemis Racing 2-0 earlier Saturday.

Barker had finished second to Oracle Racing’s Jimmy Spithill in the match racing championship at the first ACWS stop in Cascais, Portugal, last month.

The winner-take-all fleet racing final is Sunday. Barker won the fleet racing final at Cascais.

The ACWS, contested in 45-foot catamarans with wing sails, is a lead-in to the 2013 America’s Cup on San Francisco Bay.
