An evening of professional and amateur boxing, with an appearance by former pro and celebrity Sugar Ray Leonard, is coming to the Clark County Events Center.

It will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 8 in the event center at 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, just off Interstate 5 in the southern Ridgefield area. Preferred seating tickets cost $28.50 and general admission is $18.50, with all proceeds going to the Vancouver Police Activities League.

The PAL program works to build partnerships of youth, police and the greater community with “structured, mentored, educational, recreational and cultural activities,” according to a police bulletin. PAL is hosting the event along with Fisticuffs Gym.

Virgil Green, a former Vancouver PAL boxer and now professional, will be part of the event, fighting for the Washington belt, the bulletin said.
