Enough is enough attitude sparks Irish

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly sees his team extending its enough-is-enough attitude throughout the rest of the season now that the Irish have finally enjoyed a victory.

The Irish played tough defense, limiting Michigan State to 29 yards rushing Saturday in a 31-13 victory, and that’s one of Kelly’s keys for success against a remaining schedule full of winnable games. If Notre Dame can corral the running game, protect the football better (13 turnovers in three games so far) and play pass defense late like it did against the Spartans, who knows how many the Irish can win.

Directly ahead is a Pittsburgh team coming off a deflating loss at Iowa when the Panthers blew a 17-point, fourth-quarter lead.
