YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — A 23-year-old man with Down syndrome who apparently wandered away from a Boy Scouts camp near Chinook Pass on Friday was found Sunday evening.
The Yakima sheriff’s office says he was treated at a hospital for exposure and reunited with his family.
The man had been on group camping trips at Camp Fife for several years and was discovered missing from a cabin about 5 p.m. Friday. Dozens of volunteers from several counties helped deputies with the search. The sheriff’s office says he was located about 6:30 p.m. Sunday by a Camp Fife employee.
