Samoan rugby player rants on Twitter over schedule

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (AP) — A Samoan player has accused Rugby World Cup organizers of treating his country unjustly in a rant on Twitter following a 17-10 loss to Wales.

Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu says Samoa’s treatment by the International Rugby Board is “like slavery, like the holocaust, like apartheid.”

He is incensed that Samoa had to play Sunday — four days after facing Namibia — while Wales had a week off after its loss to South Africa.

Fuimaono-Sapolu also dares the board to suspend him.
