GENEVA (AP) — A Congolese soccer player has been banned four games by the Swiss league for fighting in a stadium parking lot with an opponent over his alleged racial slurs.

The league says it is “clearly established” that Lausanne Sports forward Matt Moussilou punched Servette defender Vincent Ruefli in the face.

Witnesses reported that Moussilou was boarding his team bus when he saw Ruefli and demanded an explanation for slurs about his race and family.

Lausanne says Moussilou told the club that Ruefli insulted him during Servette’s 4-2 home win Aug. 6. The league says its disciplinary panel is now investigating Ruefli.
