Bills place WR Parrish on injured reserve

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Buffalo Bills receiver Roscoe Parrish's season is over after he was placed on injured reserve, two days after hurting his left ankle.

The move made Tuesday further depletes the Bills depth at receiver, coming a week after Marcus Easley was placed on I.R. due to an illness. Buffalo (2-0) promoted receiver Naaman Roosevelt off of its practice squad to replace Parrish in preparing to host New England (2-0) on Sunday.

Parrish was hurt in the second quarter of a 38-35 win over Oakland last weekend. He stumbled awkwardly after making a 16-yard catch, and remained in the game for the next play before collapsing on the sideline.

It's the second straight year Parrish's season has ended early. He missed the final half of last season with a broken wrist.
