Letter: Council has qualified candidate
Wednesday, September 21, 2011
Battle Ground is having an important election in November. Usually, it is difficult to convince qualified people to run for office. It seems such a thankless job. However, we are fortunate to have a truly qualified individual running for city council in Adrian Cortes. Cortes loves Battle Ground and shows it by volunteering for important tasks. He is a Vancouver-Clark County Parks and Recreation commissioner, on the boards of Arc of Southwest Washington and Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce, a charter member with the Battle Ground Rotary and also chairman for the Battle Ground Planning Commission. Please help me get him elected councilman by voting for him — you’ll be glad you did.
