CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Canadian speedskater Kristina Groves has retired after a career in which she won four medals at the Olympics and 18 at the world championships.
The 34-year-old skater was left with a concussion after a crash during a World Cup race in November 2010 that ended her season.
Groves won the silver medal at 1,500 meters and bronze at 3,000 at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. She won a world title in the 3,000 in 2008.
