HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — A 21-year-old Portland man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Thursday for what the Washington County judge called the most brutal stranger-rape case he had ever seen.

The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/qZN52Y ) the 26-year-old victim was beaten so severely in September of last year in Beaverton she required surgery for injuries to her face and mouth.

The man, Set Wai Aung, was convicted in August of rape and assault charges. He told police he had consensual sex with the woman in a park but she would not let him leave so he slugged her.
