Forest Road 54 closed through weekend

Gifford Pinchot National Forest — Forest Road 54 will remain closed at least through Sunday because of landslide damage that shut it down for repairs last month. Crews are completing final repairs to the road, according to Gifford Pinchot National Forest officials.
The road provides entrance to the west side of the forest. It should re-open by the end of September, officials said.
