American killed in Afghan capital was CIA employee

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- A U.S. official in Washington says an American killed in an attack on a CIA office in Kabul was an employee of the U.S. intelligence agency.
The official, who spoke on Monday, requested anonymity because he was speaking about intelligence matters.
