CUSICK, Wash. (AP) — A police officer from Rathdrum, Idaho, was killed in a motorcycle crash near Cusick (KYOO’-sik) on Highway 20.
The Washington State Patrol says 27-year-old Jonathan Franco was riding his motorcycle Saturday when it rear-ended a car that has slowed for an injured deer in the roadway.
KREM reports (http://bit.ly/o4Szxk ) Franco has been a Rathdrum officer for nearly five years. He is survived by his parents and two sisters.
