Stolen car crashes into Seattle fire station

SEATTLE (AP) — A stolen car fleeing from police crashed into a fire station in Seattle’s University District.

Police spokeswoman Renee Witt says officers were following a car that had been reported stolen by its owner after 3 a.m. Monday when it veered out of control into the station at NE 50th and Eleventh Ave. NE.

Witt says a man and woman in the stolen car suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.

No firefighters were injured. There’s minor damage to a door at the station.
