Benton County body identified as Corvallis man



CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — A body found in Benton County has been identified as a 22-year-old Corvallis man who was reported missing by his father.

The Gazette-Times reports ( ) the death of Giovanni Blancas-Frutero is being investigated as a homicide.

The body was found Friday by a property owner cutting wood in a grove of trees.

Blancas-Frutero was last seen Sept. 7 and was reported missing Sept. 13 after his parents became concerned he had not checked with them.
