Bicyclist injured in Orchards area crash

A Battle Ground bicyclist complained of back and leg pain after being struck by a Jeep Cherokee before daylight Monday.
Nicholas S. Robles, 29, was taken to a hospital for examination and treatment following the 5:58 a.m. collision along Northeast 117th Avenue near 65th Street.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Robles was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when the Jeep pulled out of a driveway onto northbound 117th Avenue and struck him.
The Jeep’s driver was identified as Rebecca L. Cardielkeeth, 50, of Vancouver. She was cited for failure to yield, according to the state patrol.
The Vancouver Fire Department responded to the scene and provided medical services.
