Four people were injured in a three-car crash on Northeast 219th Street near Dollars Corner Sunday evening, officials said.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. when a Hyundai SUV driven by Rudy Dela Zara, 65, of Oregon City, Ore., slowed to pull over to the shoulder and was rear-ended by a Honda Element driven by Kirkwood Dax, 26, of Corvallis, Ore., a Washington State Patrol bulletin said.

After hitting the SUV, Dax’s Element crossed the highway’s center line, collided with a Ford truck driven by Stefanie A. Herrington-Blissmer, 41, of Vancouver, and caught fire, the release said.

Four people were reported injured.

Blissmer suffered sore muscles and a small laceration. Her passenger, Matthew M. Clark, 42, of Vancouver, had a sore shoulder. Dax reported hand lacerations and a sore shoulder. Mason Dela Zara, 4, of Battle Ground — a passenger in the Hyundai — suffered bruises on his head, the bulletin said.

All four were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Clark was listed in satisfactory condition, hospital spokesman Ken Cole said Monday morning.

Dax and Blissmer were treated and released, he said.

No information was available on Mason Dela Zara.

Blissmer’s truck and Dax’s car were both totaled in the incident. Dela Zara’s SUV had an estimated $6,000 in damage, but was driven from the scene.

Dax was cited for second-degree negligent driving, the state patrol said.
