ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Jim Schwartz called it the toughest win he’s been a part of. Then, a day later, he said the best is yet to come for his Detroit Lions.
Detroit’s third-year coach was cautious but pleased Monday while reviewing Sunday’s remarkable 26-23 victory over the Minnesota Vikings with reporters. Players had a well-deserved day off after rallying from a 20-0 deficit to win in overtime, but Schwartz was already eyeing a few ways the Lions can improve.
Detroit is 3-0 for the first time since 1980 after winning at Minnesota for the first time since 1997. The Lions have actually won seven straight games dating to last season.
