KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The tight end carousel in Kansas City is still spinning. The Chiefs have re-signed Jake O’Connell and released Anthony Becht.

The team made the announcement early Wednesday.

O’Connell was waived by the Chiefs on Sept. 16, when the team brought back Becht. He had been released after signing late in training camp to provide depth following a season-ending knee injury to starting tight end Tony Moeaki.

O’Connell has appeared in 20 games with four starts over parts of three seasons with the Chiefs. The former seventh-round pick has six catches for 53 yards in his career.
