Defendant, Jackson family arrive at court

LOS ANGLES (AP) -- Michael Jackson's doctor and the late pop singer's parents and siblings are in a Los Angeles court for opening statements in the physician's involuntary manslaughter trial.

Dr. Conrad Murray arrived Tuesday morning accompanied by his mother.

A crush of news media then watched Jackson's father Joseph, mother Katherine, sisters LaToya and Janet, and brothers Jermaine, Randy and Tito arrive.

Murray is accused in the pop star's June 2009 overdose death.
