ARREST AT PORT OF LONGVIEW
Posted: September 28th, 2011 5:52 PM
Kelso, WA - Last night deputies arrested Conner S. McCLEOD, age 38, of Rainier, for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, Obstructing or Blocking a Train, Burglary 2nd Degree, and Sabotage. The trespass and blocking a train charge stem from the blocking of the train at the Port of Longview on September 7th. The burglary and sabotage charges are felonies and stem from the early morning September 8th gate breach and vandalism incident at the EGT terminal.
Deputies had been looking for McCLEOD when they received word that he was outside the EGT Terminal gate. He was arrested without incident at 11:30 PM while picketing at the gate.
Since the beginning of July, 213 arrests have been made and 10 summons requested as a result of the dispute at the Port of Longview. This makes for a total of 223 criminal arrests or summons and, of this number, there have been 53 persons booked into jail. The remainder were cited and released. Ten of these charges were for felonies. This is the latest and most up-to-date tabulation of arrests.
