ST. LOUIS (AP) — Steven Jackson was limited in practice and the St. Louis Rams are hopeful the running back will have a larger role this week.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Wednesday that Jackson was not at full speed but had improved from a right quadriceps injury sustained on his first carry of the year. He wasn’t cleared to play until the day before Sunday’s 37-7 loss to the Ravens and had only four carries for 23 yards.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola switched to a more substantial brace to protect a dislocated left elbow that’s sidelined him for two games and caught passes in individual drills. Amendola was hopeful he’d be ready this week against the Washington Redskins.
