A 36-year-old homeless man was taken to an area hospital with significant injuries after being hit by a car on Mill Plain Boulevard early Wednesday, officials said.
Saul Eatmon of Vancouver was listed in critical condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said Wednesday night.
The driver, Femy Abellar, 52, of Vancouver was stopped at the intersection of Mill Plain and Chkalov Drive just before the crash about 3:30 a.m., police
said.
When the light turned green, Abellar continued west and struck Eatmon in the intersection.
Eatmon wore dark clothing. No ticket was issued, said Officer Ilya Botvinnik.
