NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Just winning isn’t good enough these days for No. 2 Oklahoma.

After starting Big 12 play last week with a 38-28 win against Missouri, the Sooners (3-0) were anything but happy with their performance.

Coach Bob Stoops increased the intensity in practice at the start of the week and encouraged his team to live up to the standard set by Oklahoma’s past teams that made it through the regular season.

He wants to see changes when the Sooners host improving Ball State (3-1) on Saturday night.

Oklahoma’s lackluster play cost it the top spot in rankings for the first time this season.

Falling behind LSU to No. 2 was a small change but symbolic of a drop-off from the preseason goal to play like the best team in the country every single game.
