Clark loses fourth straight to Pierce

The first four games into NWAACC West Division play has resulted in a four-game losing streak for the Clark College baseball team.
For the second straight day, Pierce College swept a doubleheader from the Penguins, 11-7 and 6-4 Monday at Kindsfather Field.
In the opener, Pierce scored six runs in the second inning and Clark never got closer than four runs despite outhitting the Raiders 13-10.
Evan Pickett went 4 for 5 with a two-run homer in the fifth, a double and four total RBI.
Clark rallied in the second game with a two-run seventh but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 6-2 deficit.
Jordan Van Atta homered and had two RBI for Clark. Bud Collura was 2 for 3.
Clark (12-6) is scheduled to host Centralia at 1 p.m. Friday and travel to Centralia on Saturday.
