DAMASCUS, Ore. (AP) — Investigators are trying to determine what caused an explosion that destroyed a mobile home near Damascus, Ore., sending one man to a hospital.
The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/IenIod ) that preliminary findings indicate Monday’s blast was not related to a natural gas leak.
Still, Clackamas Fire District 1 spokesman Steve McAdoo says it’s too early to rule anything out.
The explosion damaged a water main that serves about 30 people in the mobile home development. The Oregon Red Cross is providing assistance to seven families.
