LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- One man has been wounded by gunfire in Lexington as thousands of people celebrated Kentucky's win over Kansas to claim another NCAA title.
Battalion Chief Ed Davis of the Lexington Division of Fire and Emergency Services says he saw the shooting early Tuesday as he was filling out paperwork on a wreck involving a fire engine. Davis says he heard yelling about 25 feet away, and one man started shooting at another. He says the gun was fired "quite a few times."
Davis says the man who was shot was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
