Work done on London Olympic Water Polo Arena

LONDON (AP) -- The London Olympic Water Polo Arena has been completed and is ready for its test event next month.

The 5,000-seat temporary arena features a silver color wrap and an inflatable roof made from recyclable plastic. Built in 13 months, the wedge-shaped venue contains warmup and competition pools. The structure will be dismantled after the Summer Games and the parts reused elsewhere.

The arena next to the Aquatics Center will host the Water Polo International invitational tournament from May 3-6. Britain, Australia and the United States are among the countries competing.

Organizing committee chief Sebastian Coe says the arena will be a "great stage for epic Olympic medal battles."
