Monday deadline to remove studded tires in Oregon

SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- The Oregon Transportation Department is reminding drivers that Monday is the deadline to remove studded tires, and ODOT says the deadline won't be extended.

Driving with studded tires after April 9 could bring a $150 fine.

The department wants studded tires off the roads because of the damage studs cause to pavement.
