EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Detectives investigating a series of obituary burglaries in Snohomish County have identified two suspects and recovered some of the property stolen from homes while families were at funerals.
The sheriff’s office and Marysville police say some property was pawned at a store in Lynnwood and sold at a store in Portland. Some property, including jewelry and watches, was found Tuesday behind a day care center in Vancouver.
The Daily Herald reports (http://is.gd/71LZ98 ) a tip from a jail inmate led detectives to identify two suspects believed to be responsible for seven burglaries. They are believed to be driving a rental car, a black 2011 Chevrolet Impala with Oregon license 376ETA.
Police say the two targeted homes using information from obituaries.
