Chicago (AP) — The Chicago Cubs have optioned outfielder Tony Campana to Triple-A Iowa.
The Cubs also announced several other moves before Thursday’s opener against Washington.
They selected the contract of infielder Blake DeWitt and claimed left-hander John Gaub off waivers from Tampa Bay.
Campana had 24 steals in 26 attempts last season. Veteran pitcher Rodrigo Lopez, a non-roster invitee, will start the season at Triple-A.
