Letter: Both parties let egos lead decisions

Regarding the Clark County GOP convention March 31, and at national level for that matter, it is sadly humorous to see how no one seems interested in who the best candidate is, or who’s best for the country, but only who stands the best chance of beating the incumbent, President Obama.
No wonder our country is in such a mess. That means the Democrats, too, and anyone who would place their ego over what’s actually best for the country, its legal citizens, and the future. Shame on anyone who aids and abets such idiocies. I will always oppose such foolishness, even if I stand alone.
