Man rescued from Spokane River at Spokane



SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Emergency crews have rescued a man from the Spokane River in Spokane.

He was described as “delirious and frantic” when firefighters found him Friday morning in waist deep water clinging to a branch.

The Spokesman-Review reports ( ) the river is running high and fast from recent rains and the spring runoff.

The man said there was another person in the water, but no one else was found.

He was taken to a hospital.
