GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) — Police in the east Portland suburb of Gresham say a man who walked into their lobby announced he had just robbed a bank — and handed them a bag of money.

As officers were responding Friday to a reported holdup at a Bank of America branch, Officer Malaka Kerbs says a man showed up at police headquarters to announce that he had just robbed that branch.

The robber had taken care to specify in the note he handed the bank teller that he didn’t want any dye packs or marked bills.

Police say the man in their lobby handed Sgt. Jerry Harris a McDonald’s bag with an undisclosed amount of money inside.

Kerbs says Raymond Knudson was arrested for investigation of bank robbery.
