TUALATIN, Ore. (AP) -- Police in Tualatin say they've arrested a federal prison worker on charges of impersonating an officer.
KGW-TV (http://bit.ly/IdjKV2 ) says a Tualatin officer saw police-style red and white lights in the back window of a car late Thursday night and pulled it over.
The Tualatin police say the driver had a ballistic vest and a police utility belt. He was identified as 44-year-old Robert John Burke Jr. of Vancouver.
An official of the Federal Bureau of Prisons told the station Burke has worked at the Sheridan Federal Correctional Facility since April, 2010, the bureau is aware of the arrest, and Burke's employment status could change.
Tualatin officers say they found that Burke was involved in a similar incident in late March.
