Letter: Representation fair and balanced

The Columbian
Published: April 7, 2012, 5:00pm

The April 1 Columbian story, “GOP fails to fill its slate of delegates” gave a fair and balanced report on the March 31 GOP Clark County convention. I was a delegate to that convention and found the reporting to be factual and accurate.

There were indeed delays as each alternate had to be verified by precinct, a time consuming task. The staff did an admirable job considering the overwhelming number of delegates.

There were indeed frustrations brought about by grass roots politics at work.

However, I hope that in four years we will have returned to a presidential primary election where our slate of delegate counts will better represent the wishes of the voters.
