SKYKOMISH, Wash. (AP) -- Fire has destroyed the historic Whistling Post tavern on Highway 2 in Skykomish.
No one was inside when the fire broke out about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
KOMO-TV reports a firefighter suffered hand burns.
Flames spread quickly through the wood frame building, which has collapsed. All that remains is part of the facade that says the tavern was established in 1903.
