Lawmakers reach tentative deal on budget

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- Lawmakers have reached a tentative budget deal, but it's not clear if they'll get everything done before the special session clock runs out at midnight.

Cory Curtis, a spokesman for Gov. Chris Gregoire, said Tuesday that lawmakers have "broad agreement" on a deal, but some issues still needed to be worked out.

Curtis couldn't discuss the specifics about the remaining issues but says "the hope is they can still be done by midnight."
