BEND, Ore. (AP) -- There were fewer bank robberies in Oregon last year than the year before.
The FBI reports 110 bank holdups in 2011 in the state, compared with 130 in 2010.
FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele in Portland told KTVZ ( http://is.gd/qVBVB8 ) most robbers are drug addicts who get very little cash and almost always get caught.
The peak in recent years was in 2009, when Oregon had 187 bank robberies.
