LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — Polish swimmer Mirela Olczak has been suspended for six months after testing positive for a banned stimulant.

Swimming’s world governing body, FINA, says Olczak tested positive for methylhexaneamine at the Grand Prix of Poland meeting in November.

FINA says the Polish swimming federation imposed the ban, which expires May 11.

Olczak won consecutive European junior titles in the 200-meter butterfly in 2008 and ’09.

She was ranked No. 43 in the world in the event last year.
