Broken Everett sewer pipe leaks into creek



EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A broken sewer pipe in south Everett spilled wastewater Thursday into a creek that flows into Lake Washington.

The Daily Herald reports ( ) city crews are trying to divert the flow while they repair the 20-inch diameter pipe.

The state Ecology Department and other agencies have been notified of the spill.

People who live along North Creek are warned to avoid contact with the water.
