Vancouver Best Buy among 50 stores to close

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) -- The Best Buy store in Vancouver, Wash., is among dozens of stores the company plans to close this year.

The Columbian (http://is.gd/tevmmL ) reports the Mill Plain store has been marked for closure by the Richfield, Minn.-based retailer. The company announced its plans over the weekend.

The Vancouver store was closed on Saturday but reopened for regular hours on Sunday.

In an email to customers, the company says the Vancouver store will close May 12, or when supplies run out, whichever happens first.

Best Buy once had two big box stores in Clark County. The company closed a store in the Hazel Dell Town Center in 2008 when it opened a store in Portland.
