Vancouver residents lace up walking shoes for babies

About 500 Clark County residents will lace up their walking shoes to support the March of Dimes.

The annual Clark County March for Babies begins at 9 a.m. April 28 at Vancouver Landing, 100 Columbia St., in downtown Vancouver. The walk is 6.2 miles.

Those who want to walk and raise money for the March of Dimes can visit http://www.marchforbabies.org for more information.

Money raised by March for Babies walks in Oregon and Southwest Washington help support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, neonatal intensive care unit family support programs and advocacy efforts.

March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization.
